Global Wales British Council invites application for British Council India Scholarship from eligible and interested candidates

About- The Global Wales British Council India Scholarship programme offers scholarships to applicants wishing to study a postgraduate programme in Wales. Applicants must be an Indian citizen, have been born AND have studied in the State of Telangana and be a permanent resident of AP/Telangana.

Eligibility/Qualification–

• Be an Indian citizen.
• Have been born AND have studied in the State of Telangana.
• Have applied for Computer Science or Engineering programmes.
• Be a permanent resident of AP/Telangana.
• Have a minimum 85% in graduation from undergraduate degree.
• Have graduated from one of AP/Telangana universities between 2017-2020.
• Submit application between 18th October 2021-19th November 2021.
• Hold an offer to study an eligible full-time postgraduate course at Swansea University for the January 2022 academic intake.
• Be classed as an overseas citizen for fee paying purposes.
• Meet the English language requirement of Swansea University.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of academic achievement, and leadership quality.
• Be willing to work with Global Wales and Swansea University, as an ambassador to promote the Global Wales programme and its values and benefits.
• Due to strict UK Visas and Immigration regulations, scholars must be able to show that they have sufficient funds to cover the remainder of tuition fees, as well as adequate living expenses. scholars will need to be able to demonstrate this as part of the visa application process in order to obtain a visa to enter the UK.

Job/Position Description- 

This new scholarship programme, funded jointly by Study in Wales and British Council India is open to students from the state of Telangana, India.

The Global Wales British Council India Scholarship programme offers scholarships to applicants wishing to study a postgraduate programme in Wales.

Swansea University will be offering two £5,000 scholarships under the schemes. Scholarships will be given in the form of a tuition fee discount and are non-transferable. No cash alternative will be offered.

• Applicants will be notified if they have been successful 10 working days after the scholarship application deadline.
• Applicants will have 10 working days from the date of scholarship confirmation to pay the deposit for their course.
• Scholarship will be applied to the successful student account once the deposit payment is received.
• If the deposit is not received or proof of payment shown by the 10 day deadline, the scholarship will be retracted and offered to the next student.
