Designation/Position- Clarendon Scholarships
The University of Oxford invites application for Clarendon Scholarships for eligible and interested candidates
Clarendon scholarships are normally offered for the period of fee liability, except modular fee structure courses (see below). This is the period for which you are liable to pay course fees to the University. The fee liability page explains this in full. Also, it gives information about charges that may be applied after this period, known as continuation charges, which are not covered by the Clarendon Fund.
Research/Job Area-All degree-bearing courses at graduate level
Location- University of Oxford , England
Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidates applying to start a new part-time Master’s or DPhil course at Oxford are eligible. This includes students who are currently studying for a Master’s degree at Oxford but will be re-applying for a DPhil (you would be eligible for funding for the DPhil).
Job/Position Description-
Clarendon scholarships cover course fees in full. This applies to Home, EU and Overseas fee status students.
Scholars on a part-time course will receive a study support grant to assist with non-fee costs. For part-time DPhil courses, the rate is set at a sixth of the minimum Research Council Doctoral stipend rate. For part-time Master’s courses, the rate is set at a third.
In 2020-21, part-time DPhil scholars should expect to receive at least £2,502, and part-time Master’s scholars should expect at least £5,003.
This grant may be slightly reduced where course fees cover some other study costs, such as accommodation while on a residential study period. We will liaise with your academic department to determine the study support grant’s value in these cases.
How to Apply-
By applying for graduate study, you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship. You do not need to submit any additional documents, and there are no separate scholarship application forms for Clarendon. You must apply by the relevant January deadline for your course to be considered. Deadline information is available on the course pages.
Last Date for Apply– 8 January/22 January 2021
