ISEE International Undergraduate Program in Information Engineering and Electronics Science and Technology of Zhejiang University are Calling for Applications
Greetings from the College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University (ISEE ZJU), China. We’re writing to introduce the college’s international undergraduate engineering programs.
ZJU is one of China’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education, and it currently ranks among the top three on Chinese mainland.

The Programs adopt “3+1” mode, i.e., students spend the first 3 years at the ZJU International Campus (Haining) and 1 year at the ZJU Yuquan Campus (Hangzhou).
Students will be granted B.E. Degree of ZJU after successful completion, and tuition waive/scholarships are offered to outstanding students.

Quick Facts of ZJU, ZJU Intl Campus & Hangzhou City
Founded in 1897, Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of China’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education. ZJU currently ranks among the top three on Chinese mainland. In 2020, ZJU ranks 54th in the QS World University Rankings and 6th in QS Asia’s Best Universities for 2020. The engineering programs of Zhejiang University ranked 4th in the World Best Global Universities Rankings published by US News & World Report in 2016.
ZJU has partnerships in place with more than 190 institutions from more than 30 countries worldwide. With a cohort of 7,074 international students, and around 8,000 faculty and students who participate annually in various overseas mobility programs, ZJU fully harnesses its extensive network to nurture talent with a global outlook.
ZJU International Campus in Haining City received its first batch of freshmen in 2016. It will cooperate with several world’s top 20 universities (or top 5 at individual discipline level) and respectively build joint institutes with each of them. So far, ZJU-Imperial Joint Lab for Applied Data Science has opened. Institute of China Studies, ZJU-UoE Institute and ZJU-UIUC Institute have been formally established.
Haining City is known for its leather industry and spectacular tide in the Qiantang River. It serves as the core of the Greater Hangzhou Bay Rim Area, and it benefits from the “one-hour economic circle” of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou with a well-developed transportation network (http://en.wikipedia.nym.mx/wiki/Haining).
Hangzhou, “the City of Heaven”, is the base of ZJU and was Marco Polo’s favorite city in China. It is a city with 800-year history and a hub for innovation—the base for the e-commerce giant Alibaba. It is also home to venture capital funds, big data firms, and hundreds of technology-linked companies. It was the host of the 2016 G20 Summit, and it will also host the 2022 Asian Games.
Students will study profound knowledge and fundamentals that define their core discipline and work in multi-disciplinary teams in design projects and comprehensive problems. Advanced classes in systems-oriented topics, multi-disciplinary student teams assembled for major international competitions, and professors from all over the world will help in discipline convergence and cooperation.
