Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, India invites application for JRF Fellow Position at IISER Bhopal, MP Under DBT Project from eligible and interested candidates
About- Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of “Junior Research Fellow” in the DBT sponsored project “Plasmodium infected RBC classification into various malarial stages using microfluidics, genomics and machine learning”.

Project Assistant Position at IISER Mohali, Qualification – Master Degree
Eligibility/Qualification–
- M.Sc. in Basic Sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Engineering disciplines with good academic record (first class/division or minimum CPI of 7.0/10.0).
- Candidates must have qualified a National Eligibility Test (UGC, CSIR, LS, GATE, etc.) with a valid rank/score at the time of applying for this post.
- Candidates having experience in making and designing microfluidic devices and programming in LabVIEW will be preferred.
- Candidates should preferably be below 28 years of age.
Job/Position Description-
Project description:
The standard methods for diagnosis of Malaria are the thick and thin peripheral smear tests of blood samples and subsequent manual inspection of the slide under a microscope. We propose to develop technology to automate this using Microfluidics and machine learning based image analysis.
Duration: Initially for 1 year (Extendable up to two years upon satisfactory
performance)
Salary: Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 31,000 p.m. + HRA (16%)
