Scholarship Details

The UST Scholarship will cover all of the costs associated with studying for free in South Korea. The following are the specifics:

• A monthly stipend will be granted to cover the costs of university entrance fees and tuition fees.
• Degree in Master’s Program: KRW 1,200,000 / Month
• The salary for a PhD is KRW 1,600,000 per month.

• Overseas training and exchange program, Comprehensive Medical Insurance, Accident Insurance, E-library, and counseling are all available.
• The UST Research Paper Award and the Excellence Award are both given out annually (issued upon graduation)
• The cost of a Korean language course.

Eligibility

• All overseas students are welcome to submit their applications.
• Applicants may submit applications for a Masters by research or a Doctoral degree in any field of study.
• Candidates must meet each and every one of the following requirements:
• Masters by research in a relevant discipline that has been completed within the last ten years and has been assessed with a standard of 70 or higher is required.
• Completed within the last ten years: Bachelor’s (Honours) degree, Master’s by coursework or ungraded Master’s by research degree, with a weighted average mark of 70 or higher in any coursework topic across the board.
• 6.5 overall on the IELTS (Academic), with no bands lower than 6.0.

How to Apply

• All applicants, regardless of nationality, are eligible to submit an application for the award.
• The candidate who wishes to be considered for admission to the Masters Program must have completed his or her Bachelor’s Degree before August 2022.
• Students who wish to apply for a PhD degree must have completed or be expected to complete their Master’s degree by August 2022 in order to be considered.
