Scholarship Description
The A-STAR Graduate Scholarship (AGS) funds up to four years of PhD or EngD studies. Scholars will engage in industry-oriented and user-inspired R&D projects and have the opportunity for up to 12 months of overseas attachment during their studies. After completing their PhD or EngD, scholars can apply for the A*STAR International Fellowship (AIF) for post-doctoral training at top global institutions to further their research expertise and network.
Eligibility
To be considered for the AGS 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Open to Singaporeans and international students.
- Non-Singaporeans must have completed or be on track to complete a degree at a Singapore autonomous university.
- Must satisfy the criteria for and seek admission to a PhD or EngD program in an autonomous university.
- Must have obtained, or be on track to obtain, at least a 2nd Upper Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Final-year undergraduate students can apply but must achieve at least a 2nd Upper Class Honours or equivalent to be awarded the scholarship.
- Must demonstrate a strong interest in a research career.
