Eligibility & Qualifications

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Residency: Must not have had permanent or temporary residence in Slovakia since January 1, 2021 (some exceptions apply).   
  • Academic History: Must not have previously studied at a Slovak Higher Education Institution (HEI) or secondary school (exceptions apply for Erasmus+ or Slovaks abroad).
  • Academic Standing: Must hold completed secondary education (for bachelor’s) or a bachelor’s degree (for master’s).
  • Language & Aptitude: Must provide a minimum SAT score of 1100.   
  • Enrollment: Must be accepted into a full-time, in-person program at a public Slovak HEI.   

Scholarship Description

Successful candidates will receive a financial package of up to €15,000. In addition to the monthly stipend of €500, the program provides support with visa and residence procedures, potential tuition fee waivers at selected institutions, and health insurance coverage under Slovak law. How to Apply

Applying for the scholarship is a separate process from applying for university admission. You must complete both:   

  1. University Application: Apply directly to a Slovak public university for a full-time program.
  2. Scholarship Application: * Visit the official Study in Slovakia portal.
    • Register and complete the electronic application form.   
    • Prepare and upload required documents, including a structured CV, motivation letter, SAT results (minimum 1100), admission letter from a Slovak HEI, and required solemn declarations.
    • Submit all materials electronically by the deadline.
