As part of the fellowship funding agreement, selected candidates are required to fulfill industry internship commitments:

  • Master’s Fellows: Must contractually agree to intern for two summers with a sponsoring GEM Employer, beginning the summer after sponsorship.
  • PhD Fellows: Must contractually agree to intern with a GEM Employer member during the summer immediately following sponsorship.
