Scholarship Description
Each year, the Belgium Government awards 220 fully funded scholarships to international students to help them develop their skills. The scholarship provides comprehensive financial benefits, including round-trip international airfare, living allowances (for training courses), tuition fees, registration fees, insurance, and arrival/mission allowances. The duration of the program is one year for Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees, and 2 to 6 months for practical training courses. There is no application fee required to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ARES Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Be under the age of 40 for degree programs, and under 45 for training courses at the time the training is scheduled to begin.
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries: Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Haiti, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Guinea (Conakry), Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, or Zimbabwe.
- Have a related academic background to apply for the relevant field.
- Have a passive knowledge of English (reading).

The application process is completely free, as ARES does not charge any fees. Applicants must submit their applications online through the official application portal. You will need to prepare and upload required documents, which include two recommendation letters, certified copies of original diplomas and transcripts, proof of occupation for the last 5 years, a certificate of nationality or a copy of your passport, and a pre-project for certain courses.
