Eligibility and Qualification Requirements

To be considered eligible for the Keio University ADB Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of an ADB borrowing member country.
  • Academic Record: Must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an outstanding academic record.
  • Work Experience: Must have at least two (2) years of full-time professional work experience gained after completing the undergraduate degree.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in spoken and written English communication is mandatory.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be under 35 years old at the time of application.
  • Health: Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.

Ineligibility Criteria:

  • ADB staff, executive directors, alternate directors, consultants, and their close relatives are not eligible.
  • Applicants living or working in a country outside their home country (unless in another ADB developing member country) are ineligible.
  • The scholarship does not cover undergraduate studies, distance learning, short-term training, seminars, or independent doctoral/thesis research programs.
