Designation: Research Masters Studentship Recipient
Research Area: Health and Care Research
Location: South West Central Region (including Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, and Dorset)
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Newly qualified or individuals with up to five years of experience as a registered health or care professional
- Registered or working towards registration with specific regulatory bodies including but not limited to the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Social Work England, General Medical Council, General Dental Council, and General Pharmaceutical Council
- Planning to apply and study for the Masters in Research Health and Care Research at UWE Bristol or Masters in Research (MRes) at Bournemouth University
- Bachelor’s honours degree of 2:1 or above (or equivalent if it is a non-UK degree) in a relevant subject
- IELTS (Academic) score of 7.0 minimum (with a minimum 6.5 in each component, or equivalent) for non-native English speakers
Job Description:
The selected candidates will receive a comprehensive program of activities aimed at familiarizing them with research methodologies. They will develop the skills essential for managing and delivering health and care research, aligned with contemporary needs and priorities. Recipients will also undertake a research project in a health and care setting, guided by experienced academic and practitioner staff.

- Complete the online admissions application form for the preferred research Masters program at either UWE Bristol or Bournemouth University.
