Eligibility/Qualification

To qualify for the Enterprise Fellowships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Required Language: English
  • Eligible Countries: All world countries
  • Key Criterion:
  • Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of your solution is 4 or above
  • Equity investment in your business is less than £500,000
  • Innovation is protectable, with ownership or co-ownership of the IP
  • Own the highest equity stake in the company
  • Aspiring to be the CEO or COO of the business
  • Not a student or employed during the program (for startups)
  • Completed first university degree by July 1, 2018 (for startups)
  • Currently employed by the university (for spinouts)
  • PhD viva must be held no later than November 30, 2023 (if applicable)

How to Apply

  1. Registration: Applicants must first register through the provided system link on the official website.
  2. Application Process:
  • Stage One: Complete a brief form about yourself and your idea (approximately 60 minutes). This stage assesses eligibility and fit for the program.
  • Stage Two: A more detailed application that evaluates the quality of the idea and the applicant’s potential to lead a startup, taking 1-3 working days. Successful candidates from Stage One will be invited to this stage.
  1. Review & Interview: Applications will be reviewed by a panel of experts, and successful candidates will be invited for an interview.
