Eligibility / Qualification Criteria

  • Gender: Must be or identify as a woman.
  • Citizenship: Must be a non-U.S. citizen or hold citizenship in a country other than the United States.
  • Academic Background: Must hold a credential comparable to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
  • Academic Standing: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the highest degree earned.
  • Enrollment Status: Must be admitted to or currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited graduate degree program for the fellowship year.

Scholarship Description & Financial Benefits

The fellowship provides financial aid to cover major study and living expenses:

  • Master’s / First Professional Degree: $20,000 stipend.
  • Doctoral Degree: $25,000 stipend.
  • Allowable Uses: Tuition fees, general living expenses, dependent child care, and travel/registration for professional meetings, seminars, or conferences (up to 10% of total award).
  • Renewals: Renewable for a second year for up to five high-ranking Master’s candidates enrolled in two-year programs.
