Scholarship Description
The AU Emerging Global Leader (EGL) Scholarship brings together academic excellence, leadership development, and global engagement. It covers all necessary expenses including Complete Tuition Fee, Room, and Board. (Note: It does not cover health insurance, books, airline tickets, or miscellaneous expenses, which amount to approximately $4,000 per year). The scholarship is intended for students who plan to return home after graduation to improve under-resourced and underserved communities in their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationalities: Open to all international students (US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and dual US citizens are ineligible).
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must have an excellent academic record. Master’s applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and maintain a 3.0 GPA during their first two semesters.
- Qualities: Preference is given to candidates demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
- Ineligibility: You cannot apply if you have already started studies in the US or your home country, or if you graduated from secondary school earlier than 2025 (for undergraduate applicants).
