Eligibility/Qualification

To be eligible for the German Government WASCAL Scholarship 2025, applicants must:

  • Be citizens of a WASCAL member country (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, The Gambia, or Togo).
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Biological Sciences, Oceanography, Fishing or Livestock Engineering, Geography, Sciences of the Atmosphere, or possess a relevant degree such as Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Health Sciences, Meteorology, Environmental Sciences, and related area for Informatics for Climate Change.
  • Have at least an intermediate level of English proficiency.
