Eligibility/Qualification

  • Open to graduate students (MA or PhD) primarily at UVic, but also to students from other universities.
  • Applicants must be working on their thesis or dissertation during the fellowship period.
  • Previous CSRS MA award holders can only reapply at the PhD level.
  • Applicants must not hold overlapping center-based prizes at UVic.
  • International students welcome to apply.

Job Description

  • The fellowship provides CAD $6,500 as a stipend for up to 12 months (prorated for shorter periods).
  • Access includes:
  • Photocopying and library services
  • Dedicated office space at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society (CSRS)
  • Participation in daily gatherings, public lectures, and workshops
  • Award can be combined with departmental or external support to further reduce living expenses.
