Scholarship Description
The Honjo International Scholarship Foundation provides financial support to international graduate students studying in Japan. The scholarship aims to support future global leaders who can contribute to international friendship, goodwill, and the peaceful development of society.
The program covers degree expenses by offering a monthly stipend tailored to the duration of the degree program:
- 1 to 2 Years Degree Duration: ¥230,000 per month

The scholarship is available across almost all academic fields and majors offered at Japanese university graduate schools. Students enrolled in professional graduate schools are also eligible, provided they submit a suitable research plan.

Eligibility and Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the Honjo International Scholarship 2027, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Applicants must not hold Japanese citizenship.
- Enrollment Status: Must be enrolled or applying for enrollment in a Japanese graduate school course starting in September or October 2027. (The remaining duration of study until graduation must be longer than 12 months).
