Eligibility/Qualification
To be eligible for the Lithuanian State Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship in one of the specified countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Moldova, South Korea, Ukraine) or be foreigners of Lithuanian origin from non-EU and EFTA countries.
- For Belarusian citizens, a valid residence permit in Lithuania is required.
- Proficiency in Lithuanian, English, or the language of the study program.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree by the end of the 2024 academic year or current enrollment as a 4th-year student in integrated studies.
- An official letter of acceptance or pre-acceptance for full-time Master’s degree studies from a Lithuanian higher education institution.
- No previous receipt of funding under this scholarship program.
Description
The Lithuanian State Scholarships are designed to support international students in pursuing their Master’s degree studies. Recipients will receive a monthly allowance of 550 EUR and coverage of study costs up to the national standard study price. This program obliges recipients to study physically in Lithuania; remote studies will not qualify. Scholars are expected to start learning the Lithuanian language during their first academic year.
