Scholarship Description
For Bachelors Degree:
- Monthly stipend of up to NT$21,000 (US$700) and/or tuition waiver.
For Master Degree:
- Waivers of University Tuition Fees
- Master Students will be offered a monthly stipend of NT$22,000 (US$733) by their advisor for research work.
For PhD Degree:
- Tuition fee exemptions
- PhD students will get a monthly stipend of NT$29,000 (US$966) as well as research assistantship from their advisor.
MOE, MOFA, MOST Scholarship:
The Taiwanese government is providing this scholarship (the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Science and Technology).
MOFA Scholarship:
- Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000 One Economy-Class Round-Trip Ticket
Eligibilty
- International applicants of any nationality, with the exception of Taiwanese, are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be in good physical and mental health to be considered.
- Candidates who have previously been awarded a scholarship are ineligible.
- Applicants must fill out the application form accurately, honestly, and completely, as well as submit all required application materials to the institution.
- Candidates with a high school diploma are eligible to apply to Undergraduate Degree programs.
- Applicants for master’s degrees must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Students with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for a doctoral degree.

- The highest level of education 2 letters of recommendation (transcript): (Must be written by a teacher, advisor, or employee of the candidate.)

- The study plan must be written in either Chinese or English.
- English language proficiency: If the applicant’s previous degree was taught in English, he or she may submit an English Proficiency Certificate from their previous institution.
- Thesis or related papers in academia (for Ph.D. programme applicants).
