 Falmouth University invites application for Talent Scholarship- Scholarship for International Student for eligible and interested candidates

About- There is a limited number of £2,000 scholarships, paid toward first-year tuition fees, which will be available for new international students applying for an on-campus taught degree course (bachelor’s and taught master’s courses) are considered to demonstrate exceptional talent. Only international offer holders are eligible for the Talent Scholarship. Our academic staff will assess your application’s overall quality, including previous experience, portfolio, audition, and interview performance, where applicable. It will determine who may be eligible for a Talent Scholarship.

In addition to your academic and creative merit, you must have accepted your offer by 23:59 BST on 10 June 2021 to be considered for the Talent Scholarship. Successful students will be notified at the end of June 2021 by email.

Eligibility/Qualification–

To be eligible for the Talent Scholarship, international applicants must:

  • Qualify for the international fee rate (therefore does not include EU students with settled status)
  • Be new to Falmouth University in 2021/22
  • Be entering directly into the first year of a course
  • Enroll in a Falmouth on-campus based course (not Flexible Falmouth or other partnership courses)
  • Accept your offer by 23:59 BST on 10 June 2021
Undergraduate (bachelor’s) selection and allocation process

Our academic staff will attribute awards based on the following criteria:

  • Previous experience and potential outlined in a personal statement
  • Interview performance including a portfolio, performance, or pitch scored by the academic team, where applicable

Postgraduate (master’s) selection and allocation process

Our academic staff will attribute awards based on the following criteria:

  • Previous experience and potential outlined in a personal statement

Where the number of suitable international undergraduate and postgraduate applicants exceeds the number of awards available, the academic Head of subject will make a final decision using the criteria detailed in the respective selection and allocation process and their professional judgment.

The International Student Recruitment team will inform applicants of outcomes by the end of June 2021. All applicants will be contacted by email, as per the address provided in their application.

Job/Position Description- 

  • The Talent Scholarship will be deducted from the final installment of the first year of study or the initial payment if the fee is paid in full.
  • The Talent Scholarship will be withdrawn if, for whatever reason, the full remaining balance of annual tuition fees are not paid. For example, if a student withdraws mid-year
  • Successful applicants, who then choose to defer to 2022, will lose their offer of an award.
Terms & conditions
  • Only those applicants with a firmly accepted offer from Falmouth University on 10 June 2021 will be considered for a scholarship. The International Student Recruitment team will check this with no additional evidence being required from the applicant.
  • Decisions will be based on the recommendation of admissions tutors.
  • Decisions of the Head of the subject are final.
  • Applicants cannot receive more than one scholarship

There is no specific form to be completed. All international offer holders who have firmly accepted their offer by 23:59 BST on 10 June 2021 will be considered for the award. The International Student Recruitment team will inform successful applicants by the end of June 2021.
