Eligibility/Qualification

  • Applicants must be nominated via the University of Carthage for a full-time degree program.
  • Must complete necessary academic coursework by August 1, 2026.
  • Enrollment in a sponsored Hungarian language preparatory year may be required.
  • Previous recipients of the University of Carthage’s Stipendium Hungaricum award at the same study level are not eligible.
  • Specific age restrictions and academic performance criteria for master’s and doctoral candidates.
  • PhD candidates must submit a research proposal and obtain a supervisor’s approval from a Hungarian host university.

Job Description

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Full tuition fee coverage
  • A monthly living allowance of 43,700 HUF for bachelor’s, master’s, and one-tier master’s students, and 140,000 HUF to 180,000 HUF monthly for PhD candidates based on study phase.
  • Free university housing or a 40,000 HUF monthly housing allowance.
  • Comprehensive health insurance for the duration of their program.
